Nowolipki 1

From 1814 the building was used by horse artillery. From 1835 to 1944 it housed the First Division of the Warsaw Fire Brigade.

Nowolipki 3

Mostowski Palace, also addressed as Nowolipie 2 and Przejazd 15. In the Second Polish Republic it housed the Command of Corps District I of the Polish Army. Earlier Tadeusz Mostowski ran a printing house in the palace.

Nowolipki 4

Lewek Rozenberg's leather goods shop operated here. This matched an area full of tailors, shoemakers, leather stores and small workshops.

Bresler's reading room was one of the important lending libraries of Jewish Warsaw. It was run by Alter Bresler, translator and publisher of popular-science brochures in Yiddish.

The "Neo" printing house of Loter Szpigel Mordchai operated here, one of several graphic workshops clustered near the eastern end of Nowolipki.

The editorial office, administration and typesetting room of the daily "Nasz Przeglad" were located here. The children's paper "Maly Przeglad", founded by Janusz Korczak, also operated in the same building.

Part of the Nowolipki 11/13/15 complex. In 1868 the Sklodowski family moved here from Freta 16. Wladyslaw Sklodowski, Maria's father, taught mathematics and physics at the Second Boys' Gymnasium.
